First condition is that it would be unrealistic because we'd have to use aircraft available now, because predicting what aircraft will be available then is impossible.
But the main idea is to change the demand of various airports to reflect the projected demographic and economic changes over the next twenty years.
For example:
- Airports like Karachi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Hyderabad, Lagos, Mexico City, Manila and Cairo would be full bar airports.
- All airports in economies like Indonesia, India, Nigeria, Brazil, select countries in East and West Africa, Vietnam and Pakistan would be boosted by a few bars each.
- Some airports in countries with declining populations (if that's still a thing) could be reduced.
The result would be a radical change in the possibilities of gameplay because the major hub airlines would not just be found in the USA, China and EU like now but it would also be possible to build mega, multiple-hub airlines in Africa, South East Asia, India and Brazil as well.
Karachi and Lagos are both within the 5th largest cities in the world but the flying demand is not high due many of the inhabitants are too poor to fly. The population does matter but the economy and GDP per capita matters more. It is just too complex to make this suggestion into reality.

They are also fast growing economies, so the demand will significantly higher in the coming years. A projection can be made increasing demand by 1-2 bars.
Fantasy was maybe the wrong word but maybe utopi(a)-esque? Surely the population will grow but what most of the economists fully ignore (those who assume all those neat people will fly, buy, eat) that those poor people will end up in poverty since all those countries have not remotely any industry that can support the population growth.
Without getting to political and ethical on that...
That's my point, that's why I think about this as an "utopia" world idea while not saying it's not worth it or crap, not at all. Just think about 9/11 and how that changed the airline industry or how World Wars "suddenly" changed the world. You never know what will happen tomorrow - and that's good I think LOL...
