First of all compliments to the AS team for their hard work on the new version and the new design!
Without wanting to critisize anything too much in the early stages, I do want to share my honest first impression:
- I miss the -> overview <- of the old "Route Management" screen. I understand that you have to split/tab certain information, but please bring back some kind of overview screen (which is opened by default) with your own booked flights (with load status) AND the competitors flights on that route! This is used much to quickly check your routes (and compare flights vs. competitors). Actually it was the AS window that I used most; but the way it works now it is not usable (at least not in an easy way) for the same purpose.
Moreover, the split up status for booked flights by class does not give a clear overview. I understand this technically may be needed for future purposes, but then at least try to design the table in a way that it actually looks like one flight. The way it looks now readability is decreased by 90%.
Just wanted to share my thoughts to see how others experience this! I really find the usuability of the Route Management screen important so please take note of my feedback!

+1
I couldn't said it better. This is also the feature i miss most and i find the split by class unreadable.
I would also add my comment in regarding the Route Management page, was by far the page I used the most to compare all flights of mine, competitors and adjust prices based on all the information supplied there quickly.
Many of the other features I like or will come to like, but this removal is a major loss imo.
I used route management a lot. However, I am still kinda lost in the current layout and I am more looking for everything than actually playing...
Would be great if we can have the normal route management page back. Including the button to apply the flight schedule (including prices/services) on the return route as well, because I haven't found that one yet...

On the inventory page, under the Airport Pair settings, there are four checkboxes to the right of the price sliders and settings dropdowns to apply to the pair, flight numbers, and the reverse pair and reverse flight numbers.
Guys, I'm very sorry, but "bringing back the old screen" simply isn't an option. We want to add new and pretty exciting stuff that simply wouldn't fit onto the old route management page anymore. Route management was already packed with so many things it would have gotten too bloated. We will do what we can over the coming days and weeks to put final touches on the new pages to make the experience better, but as said before, there are limits as to what we can do.
On another thread someone asked "where are the features we've always been waiting for, like marketing and codeshare"...an those features are exactly the reason why we've restructured this core part of the game. That's where they'll go.
Wouldn't it be an option to at least have one row per flight again?
With the new layout, every class of a single flight is shown on one row, making the whole page pretty stuffed if you operate 20+ daily frequencies. Yes, I know there are filters to the right, but with one row per flight I have a pretty fast overview, which daily flights are well booked and which are not. The checkboxes to filter the whole thing according a booking class is simply annoying, as it adds a lot of mouse clicks.
Martin, I understand you need to restructure stuff to make space for new features. But please look into the possibility of adding some kind of "Route overview" tab that contains the information like it used to be on the Route Management page, own flights/loads + competitiors flights. Easily readable, like the 'aircraft flights list'. And not based on "availability", but booked seats+percentages instead.
The Route Management info and the fun it brought IS the game for me (and apparently not only just for me). I won't have fun playing without a usable route overview.

As said many times before, it could be done, but it would be a mess later. It already takes awfully wide tables to display bookings, capacity, load and price for the four classes we have today (Y, C, F, Cargo). If you add more classes to this, even if it's just a single one like Premium Economy, you even get display issues on relatively wide-screen desktop PCs, let alone mobile devices. I guess we could do a reduced view, only displaying load, but that wouldn't be what people are used to either, I'm afraid (although it would be realistic).

Since you can already display your own flights in the Market Analysis, I guess the core of the issue is the rendering of the loads/prices per booking class. It's the core complaint we get and I can understand that. It's just that I'm really sitting between two chairs here as to what to do about it (see the above reply to voeni).
The most likely solution will probably be to offer two views: One that's in some way grouped by flight and the new booking-class based one, and I'm looking into this option this week.
All this leaves me with the impression that you rank new features higher than usability. That's sad.
I've been doing AirlineSim for more than 13 years now. If it weren't for the focus on adding new features, I think the project would have ended long ago.
Well that's an interesting statement. Now its more bloated then it was, having all the different classes in separate rows.
It was much simpler and you could really get an overview at a glance. Now you can't do that.
I think I and other have stated this several dozen times by now, but there will be more than 4 classes in the near future. Is this and the fact that you can't display 5 or more classes in the way we previously did really so tough to understand? I didn't change the design to annoy our players but because it's a requirement for things to come. If anyone has a perfect solution to this display issue, I'm the first one to listen, but so far all I get is "one line per class sucks".
The real problem ist not that you need one line per class. The real problem ist that you want the table to be sortable by class, load factor and price, which it wasn't before and I never missed it. (And I bet most others didn't either.)
Several proposals have already been made, basically all the same: Use one table row per flight number, have the row contain no redundant information (i.e. flight#, AC type, times, status, details button only once), and if needed use a multi-line area inside the row to display class/load/pricing information. There's no problem with unequal row height, as long as they are alternating in color. (Unequal row height is a common concept in tables.)
As a result the table can't be sorted by class/load/price anymore, but a flight will be a flight again. By the way, you say that people wanted the table to be sortable. But I have yet to see someone who called for this to step forward and say "yeah, this is exactly how I imagined it".
