As I have already made some suggestions to terminal contract handling, I will list and expand on them with some new ideas
Terminal Provider
- A List of all pending contracts in one place, with ability to approve them all (select all) or individually.
- A List all contracts in force in a similar way as Leasing List, sortable by Station, Customer, Contract ID, Expiration. Here it would also be possible to cancel the lease contract
- Terminal Offer Templates - to select when offering a terminal to a 3rd party. This would have text, price +/- margin, immediate/confirmation approval, etc., and would be in a possible pull-down menu to select from. Idea is to speed up making terminals available for offers.
- A List of current constructions and expansions taking place, and all constructions/expansions executed in the last 7 days. Idea is to help with remembering which terminals must be assigned. Idea is to take care of points 6-10 in this post http://community.airlinesim.aero/topic/8038-62-terminal-assignements/#entry67615
- Ability to immediately cancel the contract by provider without receiving any money (as penalty). In order to smooth-manage terminal assignment, it is more feasible to offer the with immediate confirmation (doing contract confirmation results in too many clicks and private messages if dealing with tens of terminals), but then any party could technically immediately book such terminal. While I personally post note "for airline XYZ use only, contract will be cancelled otherwise..." there are apparently some people who cannot read or are too ignorant - the main point is, to be able to boot out such airlines and kick them out from the terminal.
Terminal Customer (Airline)
- Under STATION ->Overview (Handling Capacity Overview) and STATION-> Terminals (Terminals list) list the name or partial name of terminal provider. My flights are assigned to Terminal 17. But there are also some in Terminal 24. Who is who? It's a mess, it requires additional clicking into Ground Services or Flights assigned to Terminals, to see who operates the terminal.List the operator alongside the terminal number e.g. Terminal 2 - Global Handling, or if the whole name cannot be printed, than a partial name e.g. first 10-15 characters (Global Han)... in the worst case scenario, list the identification/airline code of the handling company e.g. GH).
- STATION OVERVIEW.
A) List ANY station that has ANY contract oversubscribed, in RED under Station overview. This has already been described in other thread but may have gone unnoticed. If you have 2 handling providers, and one is oversubscribed, it will list oversubscribed only on the Station overview page and in Ground Services. But if the total contracted capacity is higher than all the passengers assigned to contracted terminals, this will show as OK (green or brown) on the Stations overview indicating handling capacity. Therefore, it may be one contract oversubscribed while other having plenty of capacity available, but flights at the oversubscribed contract would later get cancelled. Any oversubscription of any contract should be listed in red (insufficient capacity) in Station overview. So we could see a table like this:
Passenger Cap: 123,672 Hdlg: 170,000
B ) List ANY station that has ANY contract REDUNDANT (not assigned flights), in BLUE under Station overview. This one is pretty self-explanatory, if there is a contract under a particular Station with a handling customer that is currently not being used at all (zero flights assigned to it) it would list the handling capacity under Station in bold blue color. So if Departures =0 when Booked Capacity > 0, the Station would show Hdlg in blue.
So we could see a table like this:
Passenger Cap: 123,672 Hdlg: 170,000
Now, there could happen a situation where there is a contract that is oversubscribed, and also a contract with redundant capacity (a player has contracted a new terminal provider to take care of more pax because his first provider cannot supply more capacity, but the player has forgotten about this new capacity in meantime...)
In this case, the oversubscription (red color) would prevail, as that means flight are at risk of cancellation... hopefully the player sees the unassigned capacity. And in case he moves flights to Terminal of AS, the station's Hdlg listing in Stations list would turn blue from red. This particular suggestion also tackles points described in points 6-10 of the poster here http://community.airlinesim.aero/topic/8038-62-terminal-assignements/#entry67615
