Christmas news from Mexico

as Number 2 ceased operations a week ago, we skipped our plans of renewal of the fleet and expansion plans came back.

Aerolinea Mexicana Regional was founded yesterday and started operations with 22 planes. Our holding company is flying with 15 planes and AM's fleet grew to 126 planes.

We also opened our first intercontinental flights, to MAD, CDG and LHR with 1 A340-300.

The US-flights also grew and we are flying now to many cities in the US to bring as many passengers as possible to our beautiful country Mexico.

More news will follow shortly!

Best wishes for Aerolinea Mexicana. Kindest and great business in Mexico!

I love to travel to Mexico, and If I was virtual(?) PAX in Airlinesim, I would definitely book journey with Aerolinea Mexicana to go down to Cancun for some good tequila and hop to West Coast for nice waves, surfing and some tacos de camarones. :D

Update end of January:

- 4.500.000 passengers

- fleet changed and is still changing; 6 777--200ER for LH Europe and 5 767 for US and Canada, 1 747-domestic for MEX-GDL, 156 planes in total

- 5.707 weekly flights to 155 destinations (last period)

- Aerolinea Mexicana Regio is flying with 46 planes to 48 destinations, 1.934 weekly flights (last period)

Our goals for the next 2-3 weeks: 200 planes, 6.500 weekly flights, expanding LH to Europe

7 maintenance categories is way too much. You must be paying almost double for maintenance.

Also having 4 operating airlines makes no sense, you will have problems interlining with third party airlines who will need multiple interline contracts with your group.

Also having one two or three aircraft to use up maintenance category is not a good idea, such as SSJ or 737 at your main holding.

Just some suggestions…

Thanks, Rubio,

appreciate your suggestions - but I am doing experiments with planes to get rid of the old metal some day. I know what I am doing here. :)

Update from Mexico

Aerolinea Mexicana is working hard to modernise our fleet with brandnew 737xxx planes. Now our average plane age is 7.7 years, the 737 classics are still flying but will be replaced in some weeks. We are also replacing our 777 fleet with A340 series.

Aerolinea Mexicana Regio also changes by replacing old metal with brandnew 737's, mostly 737-700 BGW. Also Aerolinea Mexicana Holding is slowly stopping operations and main line and regio are taking over the routes.

The whole renewal process will at least take another 3 months but it will help to boost the company.
