Aeroplane Safety

I was reading the news when an Idea popped into my head, Airplane crashes/ minor incidents. They increase in likelihood as aircraft age and aircraft condition, example: a 95% condition aircraft has less chance of crashing/having issues than a 55% condition same age craft. These would be VERY rare in any case, but would have a severe impact in image, especially if people are hurt. while these could kill smaller airlines, but would foster competition, by weakening large airline systems images. There should also be an "aircraft safty" rating, EX. a TU-134A would be less safe than a 727 etc. These ratings would be independent of age, which would take it's own toll.

So, any thoughts/modifications to this?

That suggestion pops up at least once a week. Not gonna happen.

Oh yes... many thoughts

Where do some people come up with these kind of ideas?

And not just once... but over and over again.

The age of your fleets has been reflected in your image and rating. So, don't make it complicated!!
