Hi all
I'm intrigued with the aircraft market - percentages of payback on purchases of aircraft aren't clear and I'm trying to understand it better...
purchasing and an aircraft it mentions the repayment rate, but no mention of the interest rate? which is crippling -
also the aircraft market doesn't give the option to sell the aircraft at a loss?
Just want to make sure I haven't missed anything in the settings...
Also - releasing the aircraft back onto the market, my aircraft doesn't go 'live' available to buy or be bid on??
1) The weekly lease rate is a factor of 0.005 of the market value [half of a percent]
The deposit for lease is a factor of 0.05 of the market value [five percent] (10x weekly lease)
2) Purchase down-payment is the same as lease deposit - factor of 0.05 of the market value [five percent]
3) Interest rate is at least the "Interest Rate - For loans with securities" listed in the gameworld portal. Your actual interest will usually be 0.1-1% (or more) higher than the unsecured rate, depending on your company rating.
4) If you buy aircraft on loan, you can only sell it for the maximum of the "liberated value" (loan already paid). If there is full loan outstanding, you can sell it only for 100% of the value. If you pay back e.g. 50% of the loan value, you can list it for 50% of its market value, but not less.
On the used market, there's an info box with a message: "Your current interest rate for aircraft purchases is 0.75%. Note that weekly interest payments have to be added on top of the loan installments stated in the offers!"
The interest rate will of course vary.
You can sell aircraft back to AS - if you offer it for the lowest starting price and nobody else buys it after 14 days, AS will make a bid to buy it back.
Ok - thank you.
am I right in thinking bidding doesn't 'start' until someone bids?
Gret info - I wish all this was in the wiki!!
