Aviolinea Italian Airlines Route Help

Hey, so I've started an airline based in Rome, Italy. I'm a little confused on what routes to offer. Since Italy is quite a small country to cover with any aircraft, maybe I could fly some international routes. I'm on Quimby, so theres quite a lot of slots at Rome Fiumcino.

As far as "domestic" flights are concerned, anywhere in the EU should be ok; you should not have to limit yourself to just Italy.

I'd imagine that Rome-Milan would be easy to fill. Look at running your planes in a north-south (or vice versa) direction, Rome is ideally located for an Italian connecting hub between northern & southern Italy.

I wouldnt be able to provide a meal, and could that ruin my ratings?

I'd recommend typing in "Italy" to the search bar on the top right once in quimby world. Find the country page, on there you will see the passenger ratings per airport in Italy. Anything 4 and above at the beginning should be able to support a twice daily flight at least

I don't think you'd need to worry about it. A snack for Economy and something better for Business should suffice. And a great rating doesn't mean anything if your planes are flying empty.

Italy has quite a lot of domestic flying and Rome is ideally placed to do a domestic hub (Palermo-Rome-Venice, Brindisi-Rome-Milan, Catania-Rome-Turin). You could easily continue the north-south pattern even further if you head outside of Italy with flights like Tunis-Rome-Munich. If you need tips on creating a hub in Rome, there are heaps of posts about that in Community Support.
