behavior between competing airlines

Hi, 

I'm a little outraged so I kind of need your help, how you think about what occurred this evening on my Quimby Airline.

I have a well established Airline at MAD and added routes from BCN tonight. Apparently my IL Partner at BCN noticed. He approached me in a hard to read english written message, whereat he wanted me to stop the short-haul flights and just leave the long haul so he has something to feed.

I get, as a small airline, you fear competition, and it's always difficult to expand at an IL partner's hub. Since I didn't see a value in that IL any more, I terminated it.

Right after, i received the following message:

"Hello

Thanks for stopping the interline

You will have less passengers on your flights :frowning:

I thought we were good partners

Good luck

XXX from the AS team"

anyone with thoughts?

Do you feel offended by the msg you quoted?

Then I told you it was a good idea to operate long haul but probably that you could let me the internal flights

Then you just cut the IL and told me that you will put me out of the market me and my little airline

I just told you that it was a game, that you could be cool and that you did not need to threaten other players :slight_smile:

How is it fine with you guys if within the game world someone uses its status as a AS-Member? Obviously i did not ask for it. So it's just showing off to compensate?

Is an AS Team Member privileged? That kind of superior complex pisses me off, to be honest.

I'm going to challenge you at BCN --> as a result of you trying to use your member status in a way it has a certain taste. But that does not belong here. 

Just explain why you added your "status"? In 3 in-game messages you weren't able to answer that one.

And i forgot to add from the follow up messages „And please do not threat other players, remember I’m from the team“

This is implying too much. And i wonder if this kind of behavior towards its members is being tolerated by AS generally.

Of course I get that the whole development of the game is dependending on volunteers, but the way lines are being crossed here is too much.

This is not my first top3 Airline and I by that contributed financially quite a lot. In return I expect fair play by everyone involved.

Indeed, after receiving aggressive messages and threats I told you that, not to use power but to indicate that the volunteers who help in this game deserve respect like any other player.

To me it‘s not inappropriate language, it‘s about abusing the team-status to influence and threaten paying players. That‘s where I get sensitive and wonder if that‘s common standard here on the board.

Couldn't get any better.

We're colliding in game, so i considered community support being just right.

Before this thread goes any further I have locked it as this will only descent into personal insults

@Pseudofreund - I have brought this to the attention of the AS Team in our internal messenger and keep you posted

If I or any other moderator sees merit in unlocking this thread, we will do so
