I have over 100 cabin configurations from experimenting / testing, of which up to half of them are not used and are cluttering the cabin configs page and cause confusion when assigning seating to new aircraft.
I would like a function for deleting all unused cabin configs (similar to 'delete unused flight numbers').
Obviously I know that... but why go through 100+ delete buttons when you could do it in one or two clicks? That was the point.
You can do that too with unused flight numbers, and there it's easier, since you can see what flight numbers are not used... yet you have the facility I mentioned.
Plus there are cases where there are configs tailored to the main flight that aircraft operates. There are cases where one config is only used for one aircraft.
(Edit: of course now I realize that this is highly unlikely to happen in the real world, where airlines need interchangable equipment for when equipment breaks down or for when it needs long checks... but as we all know this kind of naughty things never happens in AS :) )
I believe that optimizing the cabin config is an important factor for properly managing the airline.
And trust me I have deleted many of them.
The point is that when upgrading aircraft or changing strategy unused configs will remain there, and then when you need to assign configs to other new planes you have to waste time by checking all existing configs for that type.
Another request I would have would be to be able to easily duplicate created configs for aircraft that are very similar to each other.
For instance when I create a new config for the CRJ1000NG I sometimes have to go ahead and recreate it for both the EL and ER versions... but this issue is less time consuming than periodically needing to to do house cleaning by checking which configs aren't used anymore and deleting them.

And not only delete unused configs, or duplicate existing config, but also duplicate onboard service and edit onboard service name.
Also it would be good to have "select all" button/link on "Flights" page of an individual aircraft, when all booked flights need to be cancelled.
So we go:
- delete all unused configs button
- replicate config button
- replicate onboard service config
- change onboard service name
- select all flights button on flights page of the aircraft
I would also add:
- batch change of onboard services (similar to batch fare change)
- make the current feature "Schedule New Flight -> Existing Flight Number" under scheduling searchable (same was as Flight # -> Scheduling -> Selected Aircraft is searchable) ... search by flight # or by city (if you want to assign flight # 2589 you have to scroll all the way to flight 2589 ... by making it searchable, you just type in 2589 and it brings up that flight ... or you write LHR and it brings up all flights with LHR as either origin or destination).

Dude! So many good ideas.
I have also others... many are minor things, some of them relating to the way things are displayed, that would significantly improve gameplay.
[Just one random example:
In order to keep the inbox of the 'Mesage Center' neat put the delete selected messages option on top and not on the bottom of the inbox... I hate always having to scroll down / PgDn to delete those 'We have won an aircraft auction!' / 'Flight xxxx has been cancelled' messages after having selected them on the top part of the list.]
We could inventorize and categorize these proposals and hope that they are implemented by the team....
In Rate Adjustment tool, make the following change:
1) provide "RETURN ROUTE" checkbox (right now it is FROM/TO, to do return route rate adjustment a return must be selected FROM/TO, so a two step process. Updating return route price should not be a problem with a checkbox because such one exists on route page.
2) provide specific percentages for Economy, Business, First and Cargo. Right now if you want to adjust rate, you need to adjust one by one (business, economy, etc.) if the adjusted percentage is different, or adjust all at once but with the same percentage. Expanding the adjustment section for selecting individual percentage for each class and cargo would be very helpful.
Not difficult - I have 60 cabin configurations on one airline and 30 on another - and that's AFTER laboriously deleting the unused ones - the reason being that you can't edit existing configurations while they are in use. That means that you have to create a new configuration and assign it to every one of the aircraft that was using the old configuration, then hunt round and try and figure out which aircraft is still using the old configuration. With the introduction of the new CC editor followed by the recent patch, trying to keep control of the ensuing chaos is a nightmare and a total waste of time - there's no way to figure out which aircraft is using which configuration except by looking at the number of Y/C/F seats and guessing.
I once suggested a little more orderly overview, that'd help when having different configs. Maybe the team didn't see it.
I dont think I need to create a separate config for A320 light, then medium, then heavy and then A320 light enhanced, medium enhanced, heavy enhanced. Thats 6 for the very same plane! Same again for A321 series etc....It should be for each family but not each subtype. It's not like the size differs.
EDIT: Will we see a result from the recent staff meeting and what has been decided for future features?
