Why create a configuration for A320 light/medium/heavy/enhanced light/enhanced medium/enhanced heavy when it is always the same A320 with the same dimensions but other weight settings?
We could have a seat configuration per type that can be applied to all subversions. Is that possible?
It would be a good if you could duplicate or “apply to” aircraft types cabin configuration. Maybe in the future this will be done, in the meantime we have to deal with creating configs for each subtype.
Each aircraft is unique and needs a seperate cabin configuration.
It takes not even 2 minutes to create one. I would say that this is acceptable.
I would disagree. Considering there are 6 types of A320-200s available, for instance, and I'm using around 4-5 different configurations for each type, that means around 30 different configurations per aircraft series. It's not just the time it takes but how much of a mess they make in your configurations page.
It's one of my pet peeves in this game: the fact that there are two dozen or so things that could improve the user experience tremendously, each of which would take just around 10-15 minutes to fix, but the problems have persisted for years because they're never considered important enough to bother. Sometimes the unimportant things also need attention.
I guess I just don’t see the problem, I usually have a different config on different versions, and even if I don’t I still like the way it’s set up. To each their own I guess.
how much of a mess they make in your configurations page.
This is actually the main inconvenience for me. I don't necessarily mind creating the configurations but the whole overview is just a mess.
If it is indeed a programming issue, perhaps the way the configurations are displayed can be changed. Let's say one line per aircraft type which can be expanded via a button showing all the configurations of the subcategories?
