I am finding this challenging. I have a plane serving two cities: A and B. A is really popular. So I am leasing a larger plane. Can I transfer the old A flights onto the new plane while leaving the B flights on the old plane?
I guess I'm trying to preserve the old flight numbers since they are popular with travelers.
Go to the new aircraft’s scheduling page and hit “existi g flight numbers” left of the flight number select. Keep in mind that a larger aircraft might have different air speed and turn around times at the given airports, so check the ready for departure time and actual departure time.
Edit: addition
The flight number is not important for “popularity”, but rather the time is, as it affects available connections.
Also, all changes affect all flights booked into the system starting within a few minutes so the first changes will be observed in 72 hours plus a few minutes.
New flight numbers in the same schedule will still be activated beginning in 24 hours if the aircraft schedule is activated without the 72 hour delay.
Go to the new aircraft's scheduling page and hit "existi g flight numbers" left of the flight number select.
Addition: That only lists flight numbers that are not used on every day of the week.
So, if it's a daily flight, you have to remove the flight number from the old plane (at least for one day) before you are able to select it under "existing flight numbers".

That is not correct. You can select what flight numbers to show ( daily - irregular - never)
