Is it in operation yet and has performance data been provided to AS?
I don't think it has yet been delivered to Chengdu airlines, and even after that happens, there are two important points to consider:
1) no EASA and FAA certification (I don't think Chinese certification is valid in the same way as EASA is valid for FAA and FAA valid for EASA)
2) I see it difficult for AS to obtain (quickly) reliable data ... just see the delays A350 data had, and even that data is not yet tuned out to its final version.
We will not be seeing ARJ21 anytime soon, my opinion.
I think you still need years to wait for your "own" ARJ. It's not delivering to airliners yet.
And I really doubt it would be better than CRJ or ERJ. :wacko:

On its wiki page it has a lot of data and all its test are completed
SSJ95 is also a great plane and compares favorably to CR9/E90. It only has a longer deliver time, but it has really nice operational economics.
I prefer AN-148/158 as they are cheap with descent range and best profitability in their class, However long delivery time is a limiting factor which in my opinion is acceptable considering their operational advantage over other RJs.

I would never imagine saying this but I prefer a russian built plane whit long delivery time more then a chinese built plane by child labour, laogai, overtime labour even whit the short delivery time.
