You mean a real life airline?

in that case, call Toni Fernandez, pm me if you want his number.

You have Tony Fernandez’ number. … ?

unofficially yes, he shares his number with most of his employees and quite a number of customers.

but if one willing to open an airline, I would love to get you an official call from him.  B)

rpandugita are you serious have his number…thats cool btw thnx for that information…but i dont think he want to help anybody who willing to open an airline bcoz he doesnt want competition…i prefer to have ur number rpandugita we can work together maybe.

I just realised that this is a joke and I will not invest.

Do you have the Investment/start up capital? If you give me a resonable idea in a detailed presentation I might hook you up whit some investors including my self but for me to invest I need something over the average. I would also want your CV to see what qualifications you have and previous experience.

As can be seen in one of the recent CAPA videos, most industry leaders would value "leadership and people skills" in a CEO rather than previous experience, when investing in a new airline.

Having said that, when I start working on my airline project in a few year's time (oh yeah I do have some niches identified in emerging markets especially in Latin America), I will be happy with a Chief Marketing Officer position, founders' shares, and a seat on the board would be good as well. I can leave CEO function to somebody more experienced in running an airline, at least for couple of years :)

June Morris trusted sufficiently enough Neeleman to let him run her airline, and his only experience at that time was selling packaged tours.

@rubiohiguey2000 As far as I see firdaus007´s airline idea as a joke, but you never know when an idea is starting and when you should invest but how should I get any guarentee that I will get some profit from it if not the leader has any experience. basically it is like playing lottery maybe you will hit the jackpot but most likely you will loose lots of money. Also invest to someone whit no experience and qualification is like going to any random person on the street and giving them money for there idea and having no idea if you will ever see that money again.

Yeah, myself I do not see that post as really something well thought out, I mean who would come to airlinesim forum to look for partners/ideas about real life airline? I have seen people doing that on airliners.net (a.net for short), but even there the a.netters usually shot those ideas down. Now talking about myself, I have marketing and sales experience, and travel/tourism industry experience, so I can imagine myself doing marketing at an airline startup. But I would not aspire for a CEO or CFO role ... but who knows, maybe the OP has a Phd in Finance from Wharton and he is a financial wizard... but then, he would not be looking for investors/partners/ideas on airlinesim website.

Indeed, if he really the one thing that matters most in the industry (that is cash) - he (or his assistant) would talk to some decent consultants. But if he had money in the first place, he wouldn't invest it in an airline anway - always remember that famous Richard Branson quote: "Best way to become a millionaire ? Be a billionaire and start an airline"

Nah that was then and now is now. When he said that there were only legacy airline models, no ulcc or hybrid lcc models.

There are some profitable models you can implement, I most like hybrid lcc model a la Jet blue, westjet, azul. Neeleman made all airlines work, regardless of country (USA, Canada, Brazil). As did Tony Fernandes and others. Aviation is actually a very exciting industry and I hope that one day I will be able to form part of it. For now my entrepreneurial interests are in the related industry, Travel and tourism.
