Hehe, just as I said before that the il-96-300 is still produced now AS team has a total proof. I would still not get it as the production time is so long and the fuel prices can rise any time.

CBE, I am playing in Russia and I try to play "real" in the sense that Russian carriers are "encouraged" to buy domestic aircraft. There is a tax on imports, if I remember correctly, that Aeroflot tries to get around by saying "look, Comrade Putin, I bought SSJ....now gimme A320s and stuff without tax!"
I would buy the IL-96T (cargo variant) in a heart beat since it probably has better economics than a 767-200F at these oil prices. I truly believe that until fracking goes away (so never) or the economy grows enough to absorb the glut oil will stay around $50-$70/barrel.
By the way ... if I have read it correctly, these aircraft are not manufactured right now - they seem to be used aircraft!

They already took a used one (Ex-SU/Aeroflot) in September of 2014: (planespotters.net):
74393201005 Ilyushin Il-96-300 CU-T1717 Cubana Sep 2014 Active RA-96008
The story above does not mention whether it is new or used, but if it does turn out to be new, please start up the IL-96-300/400T line with a long lead time!!!
At the end it turned out to be an old one. There are so few news about IL96-300 or 400 except news about its conversions.
