Do flight times affect demand?

As in, would I get more passengers at 11-4PM than at 4AM or 11PM? Does AirlineSim simulate people less wanting these flight times for arrival and departure?

Thanks!

No, passengers in AS fly all times and are not tired.

Thanks! And also, do passengers buy more tickets as their flights get closer? Selling tickets happens over time, and not right away or when demand is calculated, right?

Demand is spread to the next 3 days. You can see when the demand calculation happens (on the airport information site).

What do you mean, spread to the next 3 days? My flights happening today and tomorrow are pretty much fully booked, but the flights 2-3 days from now have lower loadfactors. As the flights get closer, we sell more tickets, right?

Each departure airport has a specific time in which demand is calculated. Only once every 24 hours will the pax "buy tickets" from that airport, except if there are interline flights connecting to it with early demand calculation times.

Thank you!

It's like a TicketMaster sale.  Everybody in a city sits around their computers waiting for the exact second that sales start, a ton of ticket sales happen, and two milliseconds later, all of the tickets were sold to computer-generated buyers because all the humans were stuck at the CAPTCHA screen.

The game does restrict bookings from an origination airport to the "calculation time" listed on the airport's information page.  This allows high-demand airports to be spread throughout a 24-hour period and reduce the total number of calculations performed.

While DXB only calculates once per day, there will be seats booked on DXB-DEL when YYZ goes through calculations, as passengers book YYZ-DXB-DEL.  So you'll see some bookings throughout the day as your route network expands, and a spike in bookings when your home airport undergoes calculations.
