Game flawed?

Hi All,

I have trying at Airlinesim for months and i think this game is flawed, the new game world Riem was good until the last month when another 100 people joined and Europe has become saturated, with 100% load factors I was making little profit, now I cant get any destination to work.

Is this just me? A bit disappointing....

In other world I cant make any profit at all, looking at other enterprises they do exactly the same....go bankrupt after 3-4 weeks, unless they have been established for years.....

I have followed all the guides available and ORS tools shows my flights first, but passenger numbers are dwindling down...

I don't think that just because you are not successful does not mean that the game is flawed. Some issues I see...

1) Reim is considered a "advance" world where the demand has been halved

2) Reim is the newest game world, unless you start at the very beginning it is very hard to get established

3) You have started up in traditionally one of the most competitive markets

4) From London City you are competing with all other London airports

5) AGEX has decreased 4% in last month

AS is about practice, even more advance players fail...its now a flaw.

If we were guaranteed 100% loads and a profit I (and many others) would find the game boring

Hi Ian,

I understand, I really like the game, but so far Reim was the only one that I made profit in.

Would you recommend an easier game world for beginners?

Hi Dan,

It's only about game world, it's also about location. Try and find a 6/7 bar airport where a large airline has recently reset. I don't have time to look around now but I will try later. I'm sure others may have some suggestions in mean time

London city never has any demand, its annoying.  I often fly out of there in reality, and as I have a large airline in London Gatwick on Nicosia I have tried several times to grow my presence in LCY.  However, I can never find any real demand.

I currently have 4 E170 in my LCY fleet, but I will not be able to grow it and certainly wouldn't recommend it as  hub..

London is a competitive market, and unless a major player has just gone bust you will struggle to start an airline there

SCL would be actually a nice place to start, Chile has high domestic demand and huge demand to Argentina.

Also Turkey using combination of AYT and ESB and possibly SAW which also has 40%+ slots.

- Strategy & Advise regarding routes, fleet planning, etc.

I have had quite a great succes at LCY in the past. Since there's never any real competition, you can focus on your growth, without any hassle. I had 70 Superjets at LCY :-)

Ground transportation does not have good ratings in AS, so LCY demand will stay with LCY airline if it offers somewhat decent value (price/service ratio) and at least comfort seats.

SSJ95, Antonov 148A, Embraer 170 and 175 and Airbee 300-600* can all fly to/from LCY without much payload restriction, in addition to the usual turboprops such as ATR and DH4.

* While A300-600 / 600R / 600R-HGW cannot be ordered new, there are usually quite good number of them on used market in 12-15 years of age which could be still acceptable, and you could reach major airports such as BOS, JFK, IAD, ORD, CLT basically with all passengers (using bed/comfort plus seats).
