Giving up my AS career for now

Hey anyone,

some people have noticed already that all my holdings (and therefor enterprises) are closed.

Since I have and had quite some contact to many of you in the active community and to some extend had a good "relationship" with

the AS team which is giving me the feeling I should write some lines to explain.

First off, I think AirlineSim is a unique game and my interest started in it when it was in the version where it was still "red" (so must be

almost 10 years ago?) and I finally started participating when it started to be the blue AirlineSim we know today. This was around

July 2007 - when I was cute 14 years old (7.5 years - an era!^^). Since then AS was part of my life and many many many many hours

went into getting to know this simulation/game in every aspect.

As an absolut aviation geek doing 24/7 nothing else than avgeeking around this game fulfilled many things of my passion and it really

makes me sad to stop "for now" (more than I thought it could :D ) but since the development I would really want to see is not going to

happen in the nearer-future. I did EVERYTHING you can do and could do here and I sadly got bored. Additionally, some personal life

changes led me to the decision to come back to AirlineSim later - maybe earlier than I think now. :D

I will stay in the community logging into the forum from time to time to see if we can have different engines, MTOWs etc. ( :P ) but I will

not have any airlines.

+ I will (try) to study aerospace engineering in some time and might come back with some deeper knowledge I can offer the AS team to

improve their "game" to make it more AirlineSIMulation with proper calculations (what if...) etc. :P

So, to end this I wanna thank ANYONE who was in any kind in contact with me but also all people actively participating in this community.

And a big thank to Sascha and Martin for making AirlineSim an unique and still awesome simulation/game! :)

P.S. Oh yeah, I will still try to get into some AirlineSim conventions! :)

If only people can pass their airline to other player when they got bored, your Indonesian airline is kinda big and inspiring. But it's quite easy to understand that after so many years, one will eventually bored. Congratulation on your retirement, hope you actually pursue an aviation career in real life. You know how much fun playing airline simulation game, even you have to pay for it. So imagine working in this industry, making money doing something that you like most. :D

in fact, i was thinking about telling you that i would like to take over Indonesian connect if you have any reason and would like to close your holding.  :unsure:

i was really surprised when i saw you ran this airline pretty well with all those international lines. 

Of course, it's also good to start an airline like that one my own :)

Sad to hear, but in a way understandable. I hope that when you come back to AS one day, we will have a bunch of new features that will make AS interesting again even to veterans like yourself. Looking forward to these myself, to be honest :)

It surely will be and I will come back. Maybe you can get yourself an assistant since you really are doing a big job programming alone AirlineSim. :D
