I gave this game a few days and still can't figure it out.  The Wiki section is useless.  I'm glad they give you 60 credits so I didn't waste any money.  I'm out.

if you tried by posting on the forum percific questions most users would of helped you...

Well, bye then...

play airline-manager on facebook .. maybe this works for you. this is a serious simulation. you cant play it "a few days" and own a fleet of 1000 planes and earn millions. you need months to build up an airline.

If you restart you get your 60 credits back, so you can try again. if you finally have a profit-making airline you can buy credits. i also restarted my airline many many times before i understood the game. now i have a airline that is making money, so you just have to try ;)

I have been playing for months and am only now starting to feel like I am truly getting the hang of it. I am having fun, though, and learning a little more with each attempt.

As has been stated above, there are many people here willing to answer any questions you may have.

I am in the same situation, I've played for 3 times, never paying, but this time was the worse. I dont know what did I do wrong, but I neither receive no advice from the users nor admins.

http://community.airlinesim.aero/topic/2028-get-your-flights-booked/#entry38272

I am very interested in this simulator, as I am studying something very related, but I cant manage to start a company that works.

Is not normal, all my flights where between airports with a lot of pax, I chose lines with barely competitors and I cannot reach even a 15% of seat occupancy. I started with a A319, and I changed it by a CRJ of 50 seats... and the same percentage, not even 5 seats booked for 8days??

So I cannot invest anymore time nor money in this game. I would if I would receive the appropiate advices, that at least the admins should be interested in giving, as a few good advices that gets a company working, would mean an other paying customer in this simulator.

But if in this private business there is nobody interested in having more clients, is a business that does not work, or should not work.

I’ve seen many posts of people in my situation, and not any solution.

Make a useful tutorial, not that wiki that provides no help, and you will get more satisfied paying clients.

PS: I would love to join back airlinesime, but with the proper advices.

Larans- I started this game 5 months ago and I can understand finding success can be difficult. Firstly if you don't have a bit of time to dedicate to understanding how the game works & reading the wiki- then this is not the game for you. So I suggest you read the wiki and read thru the forums to understand the game a bit more. Secondly you have to fail a few times- you will learn from your mistakes. Trust me it will make you a better player. There are many factors that go into your airline- planes, seat configuration, market served, price and where you start, etc. etc. So if you do not have a decent understanding of these factors then you will not be successful- hence why I suggest that you fail until you understand these factors. The admins are only going to be able to help you so much (ie if you have a specific question or problem), the rest is up to you to figure out. You will find that many players are more than willing to help- my suggestion is start with much smaller planes- ie Dash Q400 and start in a place that may be less populated than Paris.

IMO the majority (including myself) made several attempts until the first company worked. All my errors, false steps etc. are my own share of experiences for the future and ensures me to avoid mistakes. I think that the board of AS is generally very open-minded for suggestions and they are available for questions etc.. This is not always the case at other games. Sometimes the answers are not the ones expected but that´s life.

Finally there are players here who are willing to answer questions here in this forum and to help other players to have success.

Regards

@Larans

You entered some information into an existing topic. Maybe if you start a new topic in the game worlds forums, you may find some help (i.e. telling you that Skavsta and Palma may not be the high demand and there is a plenty of other airlines - 4 other daily flights to Dublin...).

To this date, none of my airlines have worked. I still continue to pay though, and it's worth it 100%. I may never have a profitable airline but at least i'll try!

Do you play on The Tempelhof game world ?

It's nice to know that I am not the only one!

To the OP:

I am watching these tutorials  to get better understanding of airlinesim. Maybe OP could do the same. I have not yet started the airline (well I did, to just see how stuff works inside, but have not done really anything serious with it).

I will agree with you on one point: the Wiki is absolute useless in English. Don't know if it's better in German.

"Absolute useless" is an exaggeration. There is useful information there for those who take the time to read it. This is a game you can't just jump into without taking the time to understand the rules and mechanics of the game. Many of the complaints and comments I've been reading from a number of new, inexperienced players indicates that they have been doing just that.

That's the spirit  :-)
