Hello
It would be nice if on the Interlining page we could see the total volume/numbers of passengers interlined by each of our partners. With the new class changes 'coming soon™' would it be possible to include this type of change?
It would help with deciding if an interlining partner is successful or not. Usually you can tell if you have only one interlining partner in an airport looking at other screens to see if you have passengers direct or to/from ext connections. However if you have multiple partners at large airports you have no idea if your passengers are interlining mostly with one or spread out.
Not possible and unlikely. The computing power required would be enormous.
It would be nice if the IL costs were based on shared stations, not just the size of both airlines.
If airline A operates thousands of flights, but only a daily service to an airport (say LHR). Airline B who is based at LHR, has many connecting flights, but does not fly to any other airport operated by airline A - the IL cost should be relatively small.
The problem is very large airlines can't IL with small airlines as it the IL cost is too great for the small airline. At very least, make the IL cost based on the size of your airline (large for large airlines, small for small airlines).
Also, it would be nice if the IL cost was halved for alliance members. This would be a tangible benefit for being in an alliance. Considering IL and codesharing is a major part of real world alliances, also quite realistic.

Very nice suggestions - i too agree that interlining with large entities is very expensive for little benefit (initially) for small airlines though the benefit does grow if you are smart and interline into their hubs.
The whole alliances thing needs a refresh - when i first played back in 2012 - there was no reason to be in an alliance or have alliance partners - except some alliances have rules about interlining with non alliance partners. If they ever introduce airline miles/lounges - both business/first clss they could also look at savings in terms of shared check in and cargo handling. Building alliance terminals and other benefits, including as you suggest lowering interlining fees - something they could probably do right away with small programming change.
