Internal network

When you go to Operations-Interlining-Internal network, what does internal network

represent?

Thank you!

Hi,

the internal network is your own network.

Without internal network you will save some staff, but passengers will not be able to book connecting flights. Not even between flights that you operate yourself.

RyanAir is an airline without "internal network". If you need two RyanAir flights to get from A to C via the RyanAir hub in B, you have to check for available connections and then book the two flights separately. Most flag carriers have an internal network. You want to from Madrid to Copenhagen with KLM ? You make one booking and KLM will book your two flights: MAD-AMS and AMS-CPH.

My airline has low transfer passengers anyway… What employees might I reduce if I turned this setting off? While I carry few transfer passengers, I am not sure if reducing the employees is worth it. Particularly for a start up airline.

Hi,

the guys who do the network planning
