Low load factor business class

Hello,

I have a problem.
I have a very low load factor on the business class.
My seats in BC are Full Bed and I'm on the top of ORS.
I also have interlines at the destinations, at my home base, and I have connecting flights with my own airline which all have a few BC seats.
The service profile I use has 5 bars.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Can someone help me?

I'm in world Quimby with airline Flying Amsterdam based in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Thanks in advance!

Price level?

The prices of almost all flights are lower or about the same as the others.

you offer very few connections, fly mostly longhaul and business demand in general appears to be low at this time, which might be connected to the AGEX being below 750.

So, when I offer more connections in Europe, the load factor will increase?

Another question, what is AGEX?

See Menu Management / Markets and Exchanges / there you will find "AirlineSim Global Economic Index (AGEX)".

it's an indicator for the overall demand. the higher it is, the better the virtual economy is doing, the more people want to travel.

and more connections allow for more transfer pax. if that will actually help can not be answered so easily.

please read up on the various threads regarding these topics available on this board, e.g. AS for beginners

AGEX usually moves in the area between 700 and 1100. (Aprox... there might be days below 700 and above 1100, but it's not common.)

As soon as the AGEX is below 800’ish, it’s low - and you will see some companies suffer.

By suffer he means you'll go out of business as only the top companies within the hub will survive.  After all you are flying the same routes as everyone else...but you have far fewer connecting passengers to offset your loads in your hub airport.

AGEX is key...but once you can survive low AGEX once you'll probably survive after if you can control (or at least use up) all of the local slots.

At least on Idlewild the low AGEX this year has much more impact than low AGEX last year, we are still in high 700s yet many companies suffer as when it was in prolonged 650s last year… If it goes to below 700 some unprepared companies might not survive. Many are already piling up huge losses and taking on loans. And last year it lasted quite a few weeks in 650 range. And I would say this year companies started to have problems with AGEX below 800. I usually track performance every week of major companies and this year the whole thing looks like AGEx really was 100 points lower than it shows.

One more thing, with low AGEX, it’s usually first followed by business class that suffers most, followed by three leg connections followed by service to smaller cities.

Thanks for the information!

I don't know whether the team changed the index model, but on Kaitak server, the low index also affects the booking more than it seems. The booking and profit are worse than last year even though no flight plan was changed. Given that the fuel price is quite similar, the 730 index is worse than 730 last year.

So should I stop growing? :-)

Situation on Gatow is bad for 2 months yet. Not only big companies but also many small companies ceased away. On Aspern, we still have above 800 - with a huge jump today: +38.

I am not talking about myself. But people like Fentl were running much higher loads last year with much lower AGEX level, than they currently are with the current AGEX level. And there was not really much done in China over the past year as the market had been very static because of lack of free slots.

I was not asking if you should stop to grow, Rubio. I asked for myself but my load factor is still good and I am growing instead of suffering.

The same happens on Gatow at the moment. I have not scheduled one new flight over the last 3 months in Mexico - I am alone there, no other company and still load factor is going down and down and down. Many players are frustrated and complaining, it seems very bad this year. Also on Aspern, some big companies stopped operations and some others are in trouble.
