Hello!
I'm running an airline in Costa Rica on the Ellington server. (Air Costa Rica) My holding company is american but because Costa Rica has unrestricted market access i decided to set my first airline up here with a future one in america maybe, but that is besides the point.
I have a fleet of 2 Dash8-Q200's (starting out with a strong domestic network even with a small country) and for the past 2 ORS waves, I have gotten a total of 0 bookings on every flight i have. Normally I'd understand it and make corrections, but my airline is the only one providing domestic services in Costa Rica and have a monopoly on the routes. Why aren't there ANY bookings? Am I doing something wrong here? Typically I've had domestic routes do extremely well.
Thank you for the help,
Air Costa Rica
What is your ORS rating on those routes? Can you post some data, both upper and lower line ORS.
Thank you.
Sure,
Using a flight from San Jose to Barra del Colorado as an example:
Unfortunately low, but still the only way between the two airports (other than connections also provided by my airline)
The top line has a rating of 17 (1 bar) and the bottom line has a rating of 52 (3 bars) and is operated on a 10 year old Dash8-200 with other routes across the network very similar to this
Are there any connections by other airlines that are listed BEFORE your flights?
17/52 is quite low if there are other connections listed before you (even a connecting flight CR 1 - HUB X - CR 2, or CR 1 - HUB Y - CR 2)
Sometimes if the traffic rights or seating are messed up (e.g. no seats) the flights will not show up in ORS. But as you say they show in the ORS, I agree you should see at least one booking on your flights.
Yeah there are no connections in the ORS before mine, now I'm debating if I should just leave the domestic market alone and try with international stuff. But are there really any other options at this point? Maybe just try and boost the ratings?
There is something strange ... you should get at least ONE direct passenger from a domestic airport to SAN JOSE CR (SJO). If after two waves you get NONE in EITHER DIRECTION, you should contact support, because it is really strange to not have one single booking after two demand calculations, in neither direction, on multiple routes.
Alright thank you very much for the help! I will go and contact them now

Put your mouse over bars and you will see the rating. Same for airline image on the overview page.
