For some reason my flight from Genoa to Palma de Mallorca is just staying at 0% load for economy and business...I have checked and there is no competition. I offer transfer flights everyday 4 times a day.
you mean other than the 49,621 connections available?
there simply might not be any direct demand and you lack the connecting flights, particularlly considering that all your other flights are just commencing later today or tomorrow.
What Yukawa wants to say is that if your direct flight is rated worse than connecting flights of your competitors, they will get passengers and you will not. If the route is thin (very few direct passengers flying it) then you will absolutely need connecting passengers (connecting to PMI from other flights, or who want to transfer at PMI to other destinations).
Even if your direct flight is on the top of the ORS, if the route is thin you will not see many passengers. I once tried a route from Fortaleza to Cabo Verde, which is operated daily by a 757 in real life. After 3 days, premium seats and service and less than default price, with hundreds of connections in FOR, I actually got 0 (read: zero) passengers on that route. Sometimes there simply is no demand for a specific route.
Having said that, PMI is a popular destination in real life, but if you read through forums, it is a difficult destination in Airlinesim The demand here simply does not correspond to real life and is substantially less.
Would you say If I were to buy a new CRJ 700 and connect more flights, this problem might be fixed?
It still depends on the route demands in AS. As rubiohiguey2000 said, there might be no demand on that route at all. If the flight is only operated as a connection flight, you need a lot of other flights to support it. However, if there is a demand on that route, yes, better aircraft and more connection flights will help.
If it is connection flight case, personally I would use a smaller plane other than CRJ700, like CRJ200
while TWAAir is correct, you have ZERO pax on that route. assuming that is true for all three booking days, you will need another 50 connections to even have a chance of filling that flight.
also, as has been pointed out, PMI has a very specific demand in AS and I am pretty sure, somebody operated a hub at PMI, connecting it to basically all important destinations throughout Europe.
So rather than getting a new aircraft to create a total of one new potential connection for that GOA - PMI route, I would re-schedule that aircraft to another destination.
I have CRJ 200's and ERJ 145's
What is your airline name and on which server and I will take a look at it.
You guys are right, my flights to small airports like trieste, turin and pisa are avering 97-100% but the flights to Warsaw, PMI and Istanbul are at 0-10%. Thanks for the help.
My airline: Leap Air
Sever: Devau
You will always get more domestic loads than international loads.
When you start to have a good domestic or regional connections system, your international flights will also go better. I think now you can still improve your regional network a lot. Build domestic system first, then international. It's not a new serve, so don't try airports that are too far from your hub. You will get there eventually.
You can even use ERJ135 for your regional routes with low demands. Fill in ERJ would be much easier to fill in a CRJ700+. You can switch ERJ to larger CRJ when your networks become larger
My CRJ 900 to LIN (Milan) is at 100% load.
However one of my domestic flights to Catania is only averaging 30-40%??
There are two other airlines have mini hubs at Catania. It would be hard to get connection flights passengers since pax may have a chance to book non-stop flights. You are using CRJ900 now. If it is still bad after you improve your connection flight system, change it to a smaller plane.
Thanks for the help, will do.
