I have an idea on a possible change that could be made to the ORS to improve it i.e. make it accessible at all times. This idea has a downside that it won’t be up to date 100% of the time, but it could possibly work.
I suggest the provision of a small server to handle ORS-only across all servers. At the most off-peak time (I suggest some time around midnight/early hours of the morning?), this ORS Server should grab a static copy of the ORS data and from one page you can search by server for the flights and this way it does not impact the main game servers when the database is being indexed. It is only having the ORS indexed and it will be static/cached content, which will mean for quick results and a constantly working ORS.
It may be unrealistic, but I don’t think it is.
