If players on existing game worlds have to set up manually fares for all possible flight combinations through their hubs, it would be a gazillion task.

Fares are defined between “markets”, which can be individual airports, but would typically be countries, states or custom markets.

That might not be a primary goal, but it is a somewhat positive side-effect. The way AS works right now just makes all of this a tad to easy. Just plunk down as many flights as possible, close some IL agreements and the network will do the rest. I’d like all of this to become a bit more explicit.
