Question about aircraft condition

Hi,

my question is about aircraft condition as an image factor. Does anyone know how it works ?

I have for example an aircraft with a generous maintenance ratio of 208%, divided in two maintenance breaks between the two return flights. First flight of the day leaves after a 2 hour maintenance period, but the plane still only gets 3 green bars for condition. And that condition doesn't change all day. The return flight doesn't get a lower rating, although no maintenance is done after the 4000km outbound flight. Oh, and the condition of the plane is 93% during the break before it's first flight of the day, so I suppose it must be back to 100% when it takes off.

And on the other hand, I have a plane with a tight schedule and a maintenance ratio that is much lower... but it gets 4 green bars for condition. That rating too remains the same throughout the day.

So how does the condition rating work ?

“Quality represents the standard to which maintenance is performed; a low-quality provider may never get your aircraft to 100% condition.”

Why an aircraft with a lower ratio gets a high rating I don't know, that does sound strange.

Hi,

can someone from the team explain how the (image) rating for maintenance condition works ?

Thanks,

Jan

The "soft" decriptions instead of some facts and figure is intended not to be explained in detail. If we explain it now, we can also directly display the facts and that would make airlinesim a lot of more easier.

Hi Sascha,

so it will remain a secret ingredient of the AS recipy.

Thanks for your reply and have a nice weekend,

Jan
