Sorry if i missed the answer to this. My question is can i just set up a hub and start flying point to point ( not to my original country where the airline was started) Or would I need to start a subsidiary. ??

You can only fly within the country your airline is based in and if that country is in an treaty you can only fly within the treaty and only internationally from your own country. If you want to operate in an open investment country then, yes you would have to create a sub there.
