Instead of having 2 separate flights going from A-C then another flight going from C-B

would it be better to do A-C-B.

So basically I am asking what are the advantages and disadvantages of running direct with no stops then running with a break?

Connections have a lower rating in the ORS than a direct flight, however connections mean that not only passengers from A travel to B via C but also passengers from X, Y and Z assuming there’s no direct flight or alternate routings with higher ratings.
