Rude Players

I have come across some very rude players who are playing cut throat. They decide to undercut me on prices by going to default price or lower. Then they go and report my company. I find this very rude because if you are going to play, play right. If you want to lower your prices, I will too, but don’t go reporting people just because you are loosing money. You should probably try to compete on service, or restart your airline and learn from your past mistakes. I know I restarted about 3 times before I was able to find out what I was doing wrong.This game is supposed to be a challenging and fun.

  • How do you know these guys are reporting your company because they’re losing money?

  • How do you know who is reporting you? As far as I know, you are not able to know who and why your company is reported

  • And as long as you play correct, who the hell cares if you’re being "reported"? The team will check it and if there’s nothing wrong, nothing will happen. Just relax.

Well, probably because they are companies that open up, compete with me while charging less than average fares (ie $59 on a market that defaults to $169)…Now you know there is no way possible to make money on that because those $59 wont even pay for the fuel regardless of what your seating configuration is. After 3 or 4 days of those $59 fares, they go bankrupt, come back again and do the same thing all over. After the third time, I was reported. So one could only assume who it is. Now one could say, “They are new players, they don’t know”. Yeah, but when a fare defaults to $169, you have to intentionally bring it down to $59. After 3 times, you learned your lesson unless your doing it on purpose.

Playing correct is the way to go. But had I not had markets in which I am the only carrier and I make a lot of $$$ on, I would not have been able to sustain the cut throat fare slashing that has been going on these last two weeks. I dont mind competition, I welcome it because it makes the game challenging. But its one thing to compete, and another to kill.

Understandable. But I have a question. Flying a 26 year old MD-82 between CLT and MEM charging $114 in coach, $152 in first (Average fare is $127 & $253), how are you making enough profit when it comes time to pay those leases at the end of the week??

After doing the math, even with Standard seating, your barely making $1000. I know your "posted" intention is to offer a low fare airline. However, to me it just seems like your trying to get a bigger airline in CLT to go out of business so you can grab those slots. Seeing that you are cut throating fares to/from CLT only and not to/from every other city serviced by your hub. Purpose of profit right.

Wow, that margin looks great. However, that is your margin when you first started using default fares.

Now that you have dropped them even lower, that margin is no longer valid for your future flights.

Like I mentioned in my previous post. ONE Holding per account. You have two airlines running, and they are separate holding companies.

You should realize when your writing that you can’t talk, type and sign like the same person when pretending to be two completely different Holding companies/Players.

Seems like the same person to me. Too much of a coincidence that both of you type exactly alike, with the same bad spelling and same signatures. AND, I spoke to you as America Sky, and you responded as America Jet!!!!!

Long story short, your story of opening a "low fare" airline is nice and seems impressive. But if your going to operate a low fare airline, operate it right, fair and square by only having ONE account like the rest of us. And STOP reporting us in CLT just because you want to get your Hub in there.
