If you have sent this within the last 16 hours, you will receive an answer there. But today I’m ill and there has been a lot of stuff on the server/forums support so far, so I will have a look at this later on.
Speaking in general (real world, not Airlinesim-specific), both SNA und BUR are airports which need operating aircraft with high short field performance numbers because of short runways and special noise restriction procedures. Both the 757-200 and 737-700W provide this and were developed for this kind of missions. In this regard, you have to be careful comparing aircraft which meet the mentioned features with other aircraft (I’m not specifically mean the CRJ200).
In reality airlines began to use BAe 146s and MD-80s to operate in and out of such airports while at the same time these aircraft were quiet enough. In the 1980s and 90s the 737-300, A319/320s and 757s (as mentioned) came into the scene and some operators selected the MD-90. PSA and AirCal both selected the BAe 146 and MD-80 to serve noise-sensitive airports in the 1980s.
