There has to be a way to make the game more interesting when starting a new world, even more so on the new hard server “Reim”. How do you get over the boredom? I am so bored that I’m already ready to just leave and go to an established server. Does anyone else feel this way? What are some thoughts on how to speed up the action when starting? Because looking at the same balance sheet going up so slowly is rather dull and I can’t imagine that I will want to renew my credits if it will always be this boring.
I should state that I’m not looking to be able ot build a mega fleet in a blink of an eye. I like the fact that you have to start slowly. My problem is that once you have your few flights started, your Interlining set up, maybe even joining an alliance, there really isn’t anything much to do. Like watch slots go down 1% a day? Plan new routes? Research interesting routes? all done. I have been so bored I’ve created an spreadsheet for my next 10 aircraft… Please developers help with the boredom!
I do not get it what do you want different? And you can do lots whit 10 planes like startrt going hard on competitors, and yes AS is a game of wating in the beginning, exactly like the real world.
more interaction between players in game. Instant messenger not IRC. OR being able to design your terminal, or anything that helps to past the time away while waiting for more money. That is what I mean. As to the 10 planes, I said I made a spreadsheet for my next 10 planes not that I already have them.
Without used planes and only current planes being available for production, the most you get a 4xE195, 3xA320 or 7-8XQ400, with just a little money left for seats. And yes, the first week is slow even with immediate delivery program... now imagine starting without immediate delivery program, on an old server where 3 days activation is a must... that's how it used to be in the old days (less than 2 years ago). Well, I have a suggestion: dust off that novel you always wanted to read and never had time for ... :)

Well, you might try shutting down the computer and enjoy all the things (real) life has to offer...

If you like to take risks and you are a good player you could go for 5xE195 or 8xQ400 ;), but anybody could make money whit them.

You can design your terminal take a drawing program and start drawing shops and stuff and you can do your own lay out, and the share it on the forum (I would love to see them). You can also make livrerys and improve your logo and make detailed plans on how you will move forwards (take out competitors, new routes, cabins, etc).
When I started playing AS you could not even see how your cabin layout looked you just knew if it worked or not. AS has gone a very long way since I started.
Also if you want you could start an airline on a old server in a high competitive location and you will be very, very challenged as if you are new to AS. If you want a challange come to DFW on Stapleton and you will have quite a hard time (very many free slots atm), but it will be fun and if you want I can keep a dialogue whit you in the beginning :).
