A321LR to A321neo LR
A330-800 to A330-800neo
A330-900 to A330-900neo
A321LR to A321neo LR
A330-800 to A330-800neo
A330-900 to A330-900neo
No forgetting the A321neo XLR although it does seem to be referred to as the A321XLR
As regards the A330, Airbus is inconsistant it refers to them as the A330neo family but doesn’t use ‘neo’ for each aircraft designation. Personally I think neo should be included.
“neo” just like “MAX” are to the most part marketing speak, but not technical and so not part of the types designators.
Type designators as per certification are:
I think that’s NOT what we want, so I find the current designators good enough for the game.
There’s no non-neo A321LR, so there’s no need to call it neo. Same goes for the A330neo. A330-800/900 clearly define it as neo, so there’s no need to name it such.
How about renamimng the aircraft category for AN148 and AN158 to AN148 / AN158 similar to A319 / A320 / A321.
