I'm new here and trying to learn all about managing this airline industry.
I'm on server Devau with holding Beeline
First off instead of doing the 'holding->subsidiary' thing I created my airline in my holding itself, so is there a way to create a new subsidiary later and transfer all contracts (i.e. leases) to that subsidiary?
Secondly, I made my small business plan in MS Excel and came to the conclusion that in to start of it would be possible to fly a fleet of Dashes(Q400), Embraers(195) and airbusses.
My current fleet is 2 DH4's, 2E195's and 1 A321 (std)
Flying short haul on the DH4 and short/medium on the E195 is working out, the loads are rising
Same goes for my A321, but my idea is the load might not be rising quick enough for me to cover the next weeks lease costs?
So either I made a mistake in calculating or expected the load to rise quicker. But now I need to cope with this situation.
What are the rules on 'going into the red', is there a fixed credit line in our accounts?
My other idea would be to dump the A321, reduce costs (as those flights are not full yet, but rising however the costs are really high on this a/c)
I'm patient but I'm thinking maybe my balance might not be?
So to address your concern first. At the end of the week (week end closing) and you do not have enough money to pay for the staff you will be granted an emergency loan automatically to pay for the staff. You can be granted a maximum of two emergency loans otherwise your company will be liquidated. So if you end up getting one loan make sure you try and pay it off quickly as it is high interest as well. Bare in mind an emergency loan will reset your money to 0$ and no more. Therefore if you have an aircraft lease payment due straight after the emergency loan is granted it is likely to be returned to the leasor (your deposit will be returned).
I would ask do you really need the A321, could it be replaced by a 3rd E195? An E195 leasing cost alone is almost 40% cheaper than an A321!
You will be able to operate the rather big A321 one day again as soon as your network and business warrant the ops of such a plane. It took time for me to use the A321 within my fleet of A319/320s. The A321 mostly needs a mix of good demand and nice connecting-traffic to justify the size of this aeroplane.
