I apologize if this has been brought up before. I believe right now the number of total slots available at each airport is the same no matter how many runways are available at the airport. Would it be possible to take into account of the number of runways that could be simultaneously used as mega airports with 4 runways should have way more total slots than say a regional/domestic airport with only 1 runway available.
I think it does already....
London Gatwick (LGW) - 5 Slots per 5 mins - 1 runway
London Heathrow (LHR) - 9 Slots Per 5 mins - 2 runways
Yep, the number of runways do already have influence on the slots. But also the position of the runway, the taxiways and their position too.

Yes you are right. I was only comparing HND and HKG and miscounted the number of slots available at HND (11 vs 10) . I guess that kind of explain why HND only has 1 extra slot per 5 minute although it has 4 runways vs HKG's 2.
But at Haneda only 2 could be used at once due to crossing flight paths. In fact looking at it it appears that either 22/23 are in use...or 34L/34R are in use. Therefore there shouldnt be a difference between HND and HKG

PS: How come every time I replied (with quote), my entire message disappeared and I had to retype the entire message!?
Even so with a runway layout such as HND it certainly wouldnt increase availble slots by an extra runways worth.
Plus it also comes down to air traffic control ability...if you check LGW it has 5 slots per 5 min, ALC also has 5 slots per 5 min. However at LGW seperation is commonly 2.5nm on final approach, yet in ALC it is a minimum of 7...
