Like in Alaska, you can see quite a few airports, like KKI, KQA, AGN, ELV, EXI, HYL, HYG, KXA, MTM, WMK, NKI, PEC, PPV, TKE, KTB, KWF, WWP, all have 0m runways. what does it mean?
That these airports are too small for regular and commercial flights. They might be small private airports or even bigger ones but without the criteria given for commercial flights.
I would argue it means they are helipads
I would argue it means they are helipads
or seaplane bases...
Helipads for sure. I found an airport (can't remember which one and where) that in RL is a private airport. So I assumed that some of these 0m runway airports are closed for commercial flights. I could be wrong.
Anyways, these airports can be ignored. :-)
Well, why they're in game then?
or seaplane bases...
Last month or two I saw a seaplane base in Miami with a lon~g runway

... I guess that depends on the location. In some places you have designated "runways" like in Miami in others like Toronto you have not.
Most are seaplane bases but unfortunately there is no sea-plane to fly to them. Canada is also chock-full of these types of airports and if I could connect them it would make my regional airliner that much more impressive. Apparently there once was plans to add sea-planes but it has never happened.
I asked the same qiuestion in the past, here is the 'offical' answer:
The 0ft airports are heliports or water airports. We intend to add some features for them some time but there is no date given yet.
I also asked support if there was plans to add passenger helicopters, such as those operated in Greenland (lots of 0m runways) Support stated that had plans at one time, however there was no plans to use these airports at this time and they may be removed
