I am having a succesful company, using 757’s, Superjet and Dash 8 400’s - but due to my very speciel airport, not many planes are very usable. (London City) I discovered a plane which can take off, and land at my airport with 284 seats! My problem is, that I will get a maintenance penalty, when I obtain my fourth maintenance category. When would you say that it’s “ok” to buy in a plane (or 20), which will penalize your economy?
how much is your maintenance cost compared to your overall costs? I would guess something between 4 and 8%, depending on the a/c types and ages.
