So I said to myself, let's clean up the mess of having multiple flight numbers for different days for the "same" departure.
Cleaning the flt.nums. up, I found out that the scheduling feature is not working properly.
see example below.
So I have aircraft where flight 1478 is assigned on all days but Wednesday, which is where flight 1479 is assigned (it needs to depart 10 minutes later).
S I delete flight 1479, by clicking it and "removing selected days" on Flt's 1479 schedule, so far so good.
So I go to flight 1478 now, trying to now "enable" Wednesday by ticking the checkbox and giving it a 10-minute departure offset.
But this is not working.
Even if I click Apply Schedule Settings, nothing happens ... flt 1478 is still not yet created for Wednesday.
The only way for me to add that flight was to go to Aircraft's scheduling page, click the flight number's edit icon within an aircraft's schedule page, tick Wednesday, set in departure offset, and then save the changes.
Way too many clicks there.
Btw, I really am not getting the "Scheduling" section of AS 6.2. While I am now perfectly familiar with Inventory, I do not see a reason/usage of scheduling... I cannot change the flight numbers there, so what is the point? Honestly, besides looking at the flight numbers (so using Scheduling as a visual timetable) I haven't yet found use for it...
