6.2 suggestions

I will be brief here:

1) Display complete flight schedule

I am missing it from the top menu, I know it is on airline's landing page but still used to go for it from the menu.

Suggestion: put it back to the top menu

2) Search for airport using regular search box

Suggestion: typing *IAD (that's an asterisk in the front) for example in regular search box would display IAD airport directly

3) Aircraft registration number access via Scheduling

Old route management showed aircraft registration number for quick access. Inventory now shows this through the "groupped view". Scheduling does also show it in certain way, but on the right side of the screen with the scheduling box. But if you select JFK-ORD route in scheduling, and there are 10 flight numbers, the scheduling box displays on the right side of the screen displays the first flight number (along with A/C registration number) but to get registration number of 8th flight down the row, you need to click an |> arrow for the flight number and get a refresh of scheduling box to the right, then click the aircraft registration number.

Suggestion: Place the aircraft registration number (even in small font) next to the flight number in the flight number list on the left right corner of the scheduling

screen.

4) Suggestion: Quick access to airport/station from the airline's landing page

5) Suggestion: Make "Origin Airport" persistent in Airport Pair section of both Inventory and Scheduling

At least suggestion #3 won’t work.

You can have more than 1 aircraft doing one route on different days.

Then it will just show the flight reg numbers, underneath each other? Just like in the old route management.

I like the suggestions. +1.

At the bottom of the scheduling screen, there’s an overview box that lists the flight numbers and the clickable registry numbers for the aircraft assigned. I’ve never used the schedule management for my actual scheduling, but it works the same way that I used to use it before, albeit in a different location.

Re 1: That would be possible. Thinking about whether there might be a better location for it, tough. Some have been asking about a quick link to a their hub and similar things, so maybe finding an extra space for such things might make sense. Don't want to rush that, though.

Re 2: Like the idea as a "nice to have". Noted in the backlog.

Re 3: As others have mentioned, the reg would have to be put into each row of a flight number. In fact, it might cause more rows to be displayed than now because different days might have different aircraft, which right now goes into a single row as long as the aircraft type is the same. Question: There's a list of all flight numbers and their assigned aircraft at the bottom of scheduling. This isn't precise enough or why is the display required in the new location?

Re 4: This sounds super arbitrary. Why there? Why not somewhere else? :)

Re 5: Something that popped into my head when replying to 1.) and a possible "quick access" menu. We could let user's define a custom selection of "hubs" and display them in that menu. Correspondingly, this list could also be displayed below the origin selector in the same style the destinations are. This would not be persisted or pre-selected, but it would probably save some clicks.

I’d offer you my hypothetical firstborn child, but s/he has already been promised to a few dozen people for various random things. (That’s a ‘hell yes!’ rather than incentive to not add it.)

Re 3 - The Overview box is absolutely fine.

Somehow in all this time, I have not ever noticed its existence in 6.2.

So I take suggestion 3 back.

Re 4 - Anywhere on the landing page would be fine. Point was, to have quick access to airport search box from the landing page, the space I selected was the first obvious because of space availability.

Re 5 - Does that mean the persistent selection of Origin in Scheduling/Inventory is a no or would you consider it?

(I better put disclaimer here - I don't know if it is technically possible, so you don't take this the wrong way).

It is possible, I just rather spend the time on something else right now. That said, I'm pretty sure it could be added later.
