777-300ER Discount to match real world pricing

So, Boeing is trying to keep the 777 line filled until the 777X line can start but they are short some frames...

Can we get a temporary price decrease to reflect the real-world pricing of the 777-300ER?

(since the 200ER/LR are not really being built anymore, other than being "on offer")

Short answer: NO

Longer answer: There are alway discounts on the list prices, we can not simulate them as they are pretty much depending on several parameters.

The quoted price in AS already reflects an "average discount"

http://www.boeing.com/boeing/commercial/prices/

e.g. 737-700 is quoted to have a list price of US$93.3 million, the average price in AS among the various 737-700 models is AS$51,150,000 (51.1 million) - that is a 45% discount applied right there.

777-300ER list price by Boeing is US$330 million. In AS it costs only AS$ 201 million... for a discount of 39%.

And the quoted prices at Boeing are without engines (I think), in AS they come equipped with standard engines.

I like the prices in AS otherwise it would be very hard to make profit if you do not have some very good routes or lots of feed. There could be a small dicount so the 777 would be popular too as how I see it players use 787s and 747s very few 777. I have seen the price but am still wondering why the 747-8i is chaper then the 777x. Even if the 747 takes more passagers and is the Queen of the Skies.

Please don’t compare real currency prices with AS$.

That leads to nothing.

If we’d compare, we should do so within the game’s borders: compare capital costs per seat and set them into relation with operational costs.

IMO, new aircraft (787 etc.) are too cheap capital wise while the 777 in comparison is too cheap operational.

747 *is* cheaper than 777-300ER  because the demand is lower. Boeing has literally been trying to give away the 747-8i.

The 747 has a higher trip cost, but depending on whom you ask has either a similar or lower CASM to the 777-300ER. The major difference is the 777 gives you more air cargo space ($$$ for airlines like LH who fly the A340-600 b/c of cargo capabilities) and less passengers to worry about filling.
