A320neo/Bombardier CSeries

Matth,

Is there any chance you will take a look and correct the Sukhoi SSJ 100’s data on A/S? The Aircraft has been represented in A/S to have a maximum passenger load of 98 - which is flat wrong! The SSJ has a maximum passenger passenger capacity of 108 PAX at 30 inch seat pitch. It does however handle 98 pax at 32 inch pitch.

@MIDAS - AS works with cabin dimensions and each seat in AS has also its own dimensions. If you can you provide a reliable source for cabin dimension, that way AS can check if the cabin dimensions at the source correspond to cabin dimensions in AS...

The issue is that neither the certified capacity for the aircraft ingame (98 instead of 108) nor the number of seats you could squeeze into the cabin (21 Slimline rows = 105 seats) is correct.

Cabin dimensions should be fine, because just as khoianh said, the space would allow for 105 seats in AirlineSim. But we could in fact correct the certified capacity to 108.

For Sukhoi SSJ 100, dimensions is as follows;

Interior Cabin length is 20.42m (803.28 inches)

Interior Cabin Height is 2.12m (83.46 inches)

Interior Cabin Width is 3.24m (127.40 inches)

Attached is as requested the screenshot of the CS100 as it is already defined in the game.

OMG, that's an awesome aircraft! looks like a right-sized narrow body with quite some range..

And will introduction into AS come at the delivery date (somewhere in June) or at the first scheduled flight (July 15)?

Would also like to know this.  :)

Let's just hope it turns out to be a wonder machine in real life as well to become a commercial success. Not always did the most technologically advanced product win a fight in the end, and as long as Boeing gives away his 737-700 for 22 million USD, it's going to be hard...

I know times were different, but the CSeries has more orders and commitments pre-delivery than the original A320 ever did. It won't be a market killer, but it's here to stay.

Also Boeing's decision to heavily discount to United was just stupid. It's pointless to lose millions trying to kill off the CSeries when Comac, Irkut, Kawasaki, etc. are coming.

And now others will also want 73Gs from end of the line at 22 million…

I hope delta convinces BBD to announce CS500. So they place order for both CS500 and CS300.

Bombardier makes good planes, but i'm not so sure it can directly compete with 320 and 737 since they have been in the market for a quite long time.

The DC-9 and 737 had been there for over 20 years when the A320 came along and it did just fine against two giants.

Bombardier thought that by keeping the airplanes on the lower capacity range Boeing and Airbus wouldn't see it as a threat. They underestimated how far Boeing was willing to go to keep them out. There's just no reason not to go for the CS500 anymore, they just need the money to pay for it which will come with the CSeries deliveries.

In the past, aircraft have been introduced after they entered commercial service, so I'd expect the latter.

Given the financial troubles Bombardier is still in, I guess nobody would understand a further commitment to the CS500 right now.

I would say it’s almost a no brainer and not that difficult to develop. But it still costs money (that they don’t have at the moment) and poses further risks. So I completely agree with the management to first concentrate fully on the delivery and recovery before extending the project.

Especially so as apparently the Delta and Air Canada aircraft were sold at a loss.
