Saudia have already taken delivery of the A330-300 Regional. I think that should be added to the game? Although I am not sure about what routes are they flying in real life now.
And is the “family” in game determined by pilots? If so, then shouldn’t 757/767 and 330/350 be put together since they have common type rating?
And can we be allowed to add fuel tank onto our aircrafts?
The A330 Regional has already been mentioned in other threads. It is still in internal testing - it proves quite difficult to make it work in an acceptable fashion within the constraints of our current aircraft performance system. That's why it hasn't been released yet.
Aircraft families are not based on pilot type ratings but on maintenance categories.
Different aircraft range capabilities are reflected in the game by different available aircraft types - and many actually have a lot of range in AirlineSim, so I don't see a problem there.
Real world airlines use extra fuel tanks on their aircrafts, like ANA’s 737 which was used for BOM-NRT have an additional fuel tank installed. But I am unsure about how much cost and time would be needed for airline to install or remove extra fuel tank. Installing extra fuel tank also mean higher empty weight and lower cargo capacity.
ANA did use B737-700ER and BOM-NRT is easily doable with that type in the game as well. So I don't really see the problem here?
humm so I compared the game data with Boeing's data it seems all aircrafts in the game are given the max fuel capacity they can have?
btw if I am reading correctly, for the non-ER version of 737-700, at ~2200-3400nm range, the aircraft''s range is limited by break release gross weight. but the graph for the HGW version of the aircraft in the game only have the MZFW-limited part and fuel capacity limit part?
Just keep in mind that the A330 Regional is not extremely efficient. It will be similar to the A319 Heavy or even worse per seat. Though I personally think that making this aircraft a bit better than what it is would benefit the game and give more slots.
