So, like 7 months passed since the start of the commercial use of the A333-Regional (Saudia). I know u hate this question, and it's a bit hard to code a short/med w-body, but when can we expect it?
Quite lot of ppl could use it.

I hope we can introduce it together with the next update of aircraft which will be latest with the arrival of the 737-8MAX (that is, if Boeing publishes their data till then).
And I wouldn’t expect too much of it. It’s basically the same aircraft as the “normal” A330 which has some derated engines and a lower MTOW (on paper). The fuel burn and price will be similar. There’s a reason, why only Saudi has ordered the aircraft so far.
oh well. *sad face* We could use an at least 300 base pax plane for short/med routes. I'm curious why Airbus/Boeing not making specialized w-body planes, why enterprises have to use planes like 380 or classic 330/340 and other not rly short haul planes.
It has about the same economics as an A319 Heavy. Actually 787s and A350s are better for short haul. Dont expect too much.

Because real life demand is not the same as AS demand. There are very few (there are examples) routes in the world that justify a wide body short haul in real world and certainly not enough for airlines and manufacturers to demand them
Well, it seems we soon will see that kind of plane. Boeing seems to very soon announce the start for the NMA/MOM/797 which should be a heavy people mover for medium range. Basically an A321LR on steroids.
But till you can fly one, it’ll be 7+ years. So you need to be patient.
So actually, i may collect 100k € for atpl faster than see a correct mid/wide plane. :)
Btw. i checked this 797 concept, and i became aware 2 hungarian article, including a small interview with the ceo of the ALC lessor (who is also hungarian) , came out just yesterday(11.), nice articles, they are expecting something sized between 757 and 767. According to the articles, quite lot of companies complaining about the age of the 757/767 so there is definitely some sort of demand.
Well, we’l see that somewhere in 2027 , maybe AS will be there too.
Let´s not get involved too much in where from the people and articles are from. In the the article I read it was speculated that the Romanian CEO of Air Canada might express interest for the 797. Hungary murdered Romanians unification king but Romanian has all of Transylvania (which is rightfully Romanian). Let´s not care too much about nations shall we ;).
Wut? It's extremely off topic what u wrote here, also a bit offending. (and now i'l walk past the fact that Romanians appeared in Tr first in large numbers after the Black death, and then Maria Theresa settled another large number of them along with a large number of Saxons)
I was just surprised about the alc, i did not know about his nt.

There’re also not much news for A350 Regional but apparently airlines are already ready to add them into their fleet but without any mention on the word regional in these reports. SO I won’t be surprised if someone ordered these lower MTOW variants but are not reported.
Btw, it seems like the A330 Regional actually include options for three different MTOW.
I would believe that those SIA A350 just have a different cabin and possibly the lowest MTOW but are not specifically adjusted with derated engines and considerable lower MTOW.
Cathay also has different configurations of their 777 for regional use.
