About airport curfew in Ja pan

In game the CTS and OKA airports are curfew airports. But in reality, we can see from and flightradar24,CTS、OKA,there are aircrafts landing and take off in everynight. You can go to flightradar24 to search them.

Hope game team can be based on the reality of the situation, the abolition of the two airports curfew.

The importance is not IF aircraft land or take off in the night the importance if they are scheduled to land or take off in the night. Are you sure you are looking at the right time as Japan is UTC+9?

Scheduled passenger flights do not depart at nights at either of these airports. If you want accurate curfew times, then the curfew at CTS should be extended from 2200 to 0730 local time.

Additionally, the forums are not a medium for suggesting procedural changes.

New Chitose and Naha are 24 hrs operating airports, along with Haneda, Kansai, Kitakyushu, and Nagoya. They are the only several airports don't have night ban because of most of the airports in Japan are close to city and resistance areas. Sapporo is actually the first 24 hrs operational airport in Japan. AS data is wrong.

Checking Radar24 is actually a bad idea because those airports don't have too many night flights even though they are operational at night. Even Haneda and Kansai don't have too many flights

@kenmuir, don't confuse the allowed operational time with the first and last scheduled time of the airport. Even the domestic terminal at Haneda closed at midnight, so should we ban the domestic flights out of Haneda in AS at night?  ;)  They close the terminal because there is no flight out or in the airport. No one wants to run the empty airports overnight  :)

AS doesn’t make a distinction between a domestic-only airport and an international gateway. As long as the airport’s runway is capable of handling the aircraft, it can accept flights from anywhere. Of the four Japan airports that operate 24 hours, only three of them have customs and immigration staff available. Kitakyushu (KKJ/RJFR) doesn’t have customs and immigration at night, which I presume is why KKJ has a curfew in the game. By that logic, neither does CTS/RJCC, hence the curfew.

Even though it isn’t a complete prohibition on nighttime movements, CTS is limited to 6 landings or takeoffs between 2200 and 0700 local time, emergencies excepted.

i think in that case the AS should not have night ban for those airports. People can run international flights to the airports that don't even have immigration service in AS. A closure of Immigration service should be a less concern. As far as i know, there aren't too many international flights to Sapporo and Kitakyushu in the real life. This might be one of the reasons they close the immigration service at night. If there are as many international flights as AS has in real life, i think they will continue to have that service.

New Chitose has that limitation most likely because the approach for RWY01s needs to pass through the Tomakomai. they don't want to have residences complain about the noise. but AS is much more flexible than real world, you can even land four engines jets in Itami. so there is definitely a way to "figure out" a solution for the noise problem at night.

you're right ! No flight for closed is different from not allowed for curfew.

Your logic is correct, please search on flightradar24, speak with the facts.

Agree with you, anairport curfew usually because night landing disturb rest, but is not there any customs issues. :D

As you said Sapporo Chitose to Kitakyushu in reality no, it does not mean the future. :P
