NEW AFRICAN AIRLINE LAUNCHED!!!

This week, the east African country of Ethiopian has established it's new Flag carrier. Aero Ethiopian is an all new full service carrier with the goal of being a major transit carrier in the rapidly growing Asia to Africa market. The airline has started off with a fleet of 8 aircraft operating around 326 weekly flights to/from Addis Ababa to 21 destinations in 12 countries throughout Asia and Africa.

1xBoeing 757-200 configured with 20 Paradise and 162 Traveller seats

4xBombardier Dash 8 Q400 configured with 8 Paradise and 56 Traveller seats

 

Our network is fully optimized around providing seamless connections from our destinations in the Middle East to our African destinations such as Johannesburg, Lagos, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Also our Q400s operate domestic services throughout Ethiopia and neighbouring countries with connection possibilities to most destinations on our network.

We will continue to expand our services through our own metal aswell as the vast array of Interline agreements we have to destinations we serve.

FIRST FLIGHTS TO RWANDA ANNOUNCED!!!!

Today, Aero Ethiopian - The heart of Africa has announced that it will be commencing services to the Central African country of Rwanda. We will be starting 4 weekly services to Rwanda's Capital Kigali with a newly acquired Boeing 737-300 aircraft. The aircraft will be providing 15 Paradise and 95 Traveller seats on every sector. Timings are as follows:

Addis Ababa - Kigali

The route is perfectly timed to allow passengers arriving from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Qatar to seamless connect onto our new route. In addition, passengers originating in Rwanda arrive into ADD in the late afternoon, offering fast connections to 5 destinations in Ethiopia.

INCREASED SERVICES TO EGYPT AND TANZANIA

In addition to the new Kigali route, Aero Ethiopian is pleased to announce we are doubling the number of destinations we serve in Egypt and Tanzania with addition of Sharm-El-Sheikh and Kilimanjaro to our network.

The red sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh is a bustling tourist and business hub in Egypt providing guest with more flexibility when needing to travel to Egypt and beyond. The daily service departs in our late evening departure bank where a vast amount of onward connections are provided by Egyptian United Airlines and its "Express" subsidiary. The return flight arrives back into Addis in the morning with a multitude of onward African connections available to passengers.

Kilimanjaro - "Gateway to Africa's Wildlife Heritage" is another new destination on our network. The 3 weekly service is expected to full with people aiming to access the beauty of the many National Parks in the areas. The timings of the flight are very similar to the Kigali flight, meaning many middle eastern destinations are within a seamless connection time.
