Airbus A320Neo

Duoflyer, according to the chart, 739ER can take up to 33 k liters of fuel that is 26.4 tons and it has up to 4 additional fuel tanks.

As for DOW, your stated 46 to 47 VS Boeing OEW is a difference of 1.3 to 2.3 tons… Exactly the difference in AS. By that token we could say that AS data is precise

Edit: according to this chart below, OEW includes seats, galleys and catering on board. Boeing states 44.67 tons OEW for 739ER (page 25 of the 737 manual) .

Hi rubiohiguey2000,

according to your chart the 737-900ER has a Max Zero Full Wheight of 67.7t and a MTOW of 85.13t. This means the 739 can take 17.43t of fuel to such a flight giving it a range of max 3200NM. So IAD-VIE is just impossible with a fully loaded 737-900ER, because you need about 24t of fuel plus reserves and so you would loose min. 7t of payload to carry. So for IAD-VIE you have a Zero Fuel Weight 60.7t. that means a payload of 16t in real life. Performance check tool in AS says it is possible to carry 18.5t max payload. So AS is 2.5t to high.

Hi… And there’s the confusion. I don’t think anybody is saying anything about a fully loaded 739 on IAD to VIE. At least I did not… In AS the performance is at about 40% of payload for that route, still sufficient to send a luxury configuration with 114 seats.

I don’t understand where you got that AS shows 18.5 tons available payload on IAD to VIE, because it shows only 10.3 tons available payload.

that doesn't change the point about the performance of the 739 in AS. It's performance is 2.5t higher than in the real world. ;)

Can you explain to me again how you got and calculated that 2.5 tons difference? If you can use reference to the posted chart, even better.

Because full payload is 23.04 tons in AS and not 18.5 tons, and 23.04 corresponds to Boeing chart values ZFW 67.7 minus OEW 44.67 = 23.03, so same as full payload in AS.

And on IAD to VIE AS calculates payload at 10.17 tons, whereas the Boeing charts shows 12.3 tons (approximately). Neither is anywhere near 18.5 tons.

Thanks for any explanation.

You should calculate again because AS calculates 18.5t Payload for IAD-VIE and with your charts I calculated a real world payload of about 16t so there is a gap of 2.5t between Real World and Airlinesim.

We must be looking at different AirlineSimS then :D

Edit:

I got it now, you were looking at Winglets version while I was looking at a basic HGW. In that case we both are right.

Is there a different performance between some servers?? On Quimby it is 18.5t

Edit: Okay that might be the problem. In reality the winglets are standard on the ER, so I calculated with winglets.

Please calm down. I might have opened the box of pandora here.

We are aware, that it is a sensitive topic and we will not get to drastic measures here. I actually have just completed the first draft of updates and there is not such a big difference to the 900ER. Our current performance system unfortunately does not allow a very precise adjustment and therefore I have not made big changes either.

Eventhouhg I personally believe, it should have a much worse performance than it actually does in the game. In real life, it doesn't sell. And this is for a reason.

Matth, should I be worried of what these performance adjustments might do to my overall profit with a fleet of 1000 737-900ER aircraft?

No, no need to worry

  • The 737-700 should be slightly worse than a A319,

The article linked was in reference to the MAX vs NEO, is that the models you are talking about here?  If it is about the 700NG vs 319 CEO I have different numbers.

No, no need to worry

Matth, I’m still worried.

Just to make sure…

Will the change only affect newly scheduled aircraft?

Is the data on Dev?

We're still planning, testing has yet to begin.

After some very long adjustments, testing, fine-tuning and optimizing, I'm happy to see the completely revised fuel burn values being released in Quimby today.

Please do have a look at the values and let me know of any findings you might have, so that we can verify and possibly amend the data before we release them also to the existing game worlds.
