Is this just a glitch with the Paine game world? I have my A319 just doing nothing, with no plight plan in the hope that it gets repaired, but alas, the aircraft condition won’t budge, it is stuck at 49%.
If the aircraft condition falls below 50% it is grounded and will not continue with the scheduled flights.
Consider: you not only have to take care that the maintenance ratio is >= 100%, the maintenance windows (minimum 2 hours) should be spread over the week so the condition never falls below 50%.
How often and how long the maintenance windows have to be depends on:
- Number of starts and landings (3 short haul flights a day requires more maintenance than 2 mid haul flights)
- Aircraft
- Maintenance provider
To get out of this situation, first change the schedule so that it meets the criterias mentioned above. Then manuall schedule a transfer flight to the airport with the next planned maintenance window. You can do this in the fleet management by putting a tick left of the aircraft and then select the airport at the very bottom in the “transfer aircraft to” dropdown list. After that your aircraft should be back in business.
If theres no flight plan, it won’t get repaired until there is a flight plan (strange I know). If you’ve already transferred it to your home hub, transfer it away. Then activate a flight plan. Once you transfer it to the start point on the schedule, it should then get fixed before the first flight.
You need to transfer it away and back again owing to a quirk of the game, where repairs won’t be completed if the aircraft is already at the start point of its schedule.
Oh that explains it. That A319 was just sucking out my finances so I had to restart.
