As this year marks the twentieth anniversary of AirlineSim, we want to use the opportunity and celebrate with you! A while back, you helped us pick Frankfurt as a location for the event - today, we’re excited to share the finished schedule and sign-up process with you!
Event Program
Our event will take place on Saturday, 24 September 2022. We’re kicking off the day by meeting in front of the train station Frankfurt (Main) Stadion at 10:30 am. As some of the event locations are a bit remote, we recommend arriving by car or taxi. If that’s not possible, just let us know when booking your ticket and we’ll find a solution!
Next, we’re going for a round of plane spotting at Frankfurt Airport to catch some take offs and landings! At lunch time, we’re driving to the restaurant Waldgeist, which some of you may already know from previous events. Here, we’ll also have the chance to share some presentations about the game - if you’d like to contribute your own presentation, don’t hestitate to reach out to us!
In the afternoon, we’re moving the event to Frankfurt Sachsenhausen where we can go for a small walk through the historic city. To top it off, we’re ending the day by enjoying some authentic Hessian food and cider.
Where can I sign up?
If you’d like to join, please book your ticket via eventbrite! We’re charging a fee of 5€ to cover for some of the event expenses and get a more reliable number of participants. The booking process will be available until 15 September 2022.
Hotel Suggestions
In case you’re looking for a place to stay, we researched a few hotel options in the vicinity.
Based directly in Sachsenhausen, Hotel Cult offers a variety of rooms starting at about 60 to 70€ per night, including breakfast. Hotel guests can check in from 1 pm.
Not far from the city’s Museumsufer, hotel Maingau is located in the heart of Sachsenhausen and has a selection of rooms on offer with prices starting at about 125€ per night and breakfast. Check-in is available from 2 pm to 10 pm.
The ibis budget Frankfurt City Ost on the opposite side of the river provides rooms for around 70€ per night, breakfast included as well. Check-in starts at 3 pm.
