Atlantic Lloyd Newsroom

After sucessfully completing its first month of operations Atlantic Lloyd is enjoying a prosperous growth. As a niche operator my strategy is to connect smaller airports airports on both sides of the atlantic through our hub in Iceland. While in the first month a majority of our destinations included larger airports such as John F. Kennedy International in New York or London Heathrow, the future focus shift to smaller locations.

Fleet:

Currently Atlantic Lloyd only operates A148 aircraft. The model features a relatively long range and solid capacity to serve smaller markets. Short turnarounds are crucial to ensure a daily transatlantic turnaround service with two short stopovers in Iceland. For the future the introduction of a second larger plane type is planned which will be used to expand capacities on routes with high demand. However no decision on a specific model (737,320,CS1/3) have been made yet.

Operations:

Operations run on a 24/7 cycle. All destinations are served daily.  Flights leave Europe in the morning between 6am and 8am to arrive in Keflavik before noon. Passenger have the ability to transfer between flights and enjoy a short stroll through the terminal. At noon all aircraft leave westbound to their respective destinations in the US and Canada. Here they arrive in the late afternoon local time. After a longer break used for maintenance they return to Keflavic where they arrive around 3 am local time. They then continue to their point of origin in Europe and the cycle repeats.

Services:

Passenger receive premium services in both Economy and Business cabin. These include comfortable seats as well a free meals and drinks. To enhance the comfort during the Iceland layover the construction of a new special transit terminal is planned. The terminal will include a large lounge like departure area and a pre clearance facility for US bound flights.

Is this some kind of roleplaying?

just felt a need for expression.. I mean if we take away the imagination its just a bunch of values constantly being recalculated by a big machine...

I remember in the earlier days we had way more of these...

There were even "awards" for best design etc.
