Hi, I’ve noticed the ATR 72-600 is limited to 74 seats, even though it’s certified for up to 78 (since 2015), as Cebu Pacific operates. I have an LCC in-game, so would love to simulate that.
The PR states “The option will also be available as a retrofit.”, so I read this as being a variant that likely costs a premium and isn’t the default for all ATR 72-600s. But haven’t looked into it. Maybe @Priller will once he touches the ATR series for performance updates.
It would have to be a separate model in AS with it being a conversion option due to cargo and capacity changing. I’ll take a look when I get around to the ATR family of aircraft.
Hi @martin and @Priller, thanks for the replies earlier. I don’t want to create a new thread since it’s technically the same topic, so I’m putting this here. I also suggest increasing the maximum certified seats for the following:
A321ceo to 230 (Cebu Pacific and VietJet operate in such a config)
A321neo to 244
A321XLR to 244
A320neo to 194
Also, it seems like A220s are maxed out at Y130 and Y155 in the Slimline HD seats, even though the game correctly sets the max passengers allowable (Y135 and Y160).
I don’t have the mental capacity to look into seating capacity details at the moment, especially since there are long-standing issues with how seat sizes and space allocation work in AS which need proper tackling at some point (I think @AK has given up years ago in trying to get me to work on this ).
That said, and just as the ATR example above, high density versions are often optional packages that we might add but often can’t (because AS doesn’t model the underlying trade-offs, like removing galleys and such). But maybe Priller can weigh in on this once he finds the time.
