I was at CHC just 2 months ago. That airport is not open 24/7. My flight was NZ221, departing 06:30. But the airport doors only opened at 03:30, and we were waiting outside for 10 minutes.
In Australia, all airports in New South Wales, with the exception of WSI and LDH, are closed from 0:01-05:59. Like in real life, SYD is infamous for being closed at night, and WSI was built with the intention of 24/7 operation. However, I am not sure about the opening hours of airports in New South Wales’ rural towns. I have also never been to LDH, so I don’t know if they’re 24/7. And if New South Wales’ rural towns do have their airports close at night, does this rule apply to other Australian states and territories?
